Film: Encaustic: It's all the buzz

Review: HEAT + LIGHT: by Marc Jenkins, Washington Post, Jan. 19, 2017

Washington Wax Works is a collective of three encaustic artists who have been working and exhibiting together in Washington, D.C., since 2012.

Encaustic art uses hot wax as its primary medium, and the transformative process of encasing, painting, baking, embedding, and collaging elements with this ancient medium is our passion.

Each artist interprets their creative vision using wax with individualized technical expression, exposing viewers to new and uniquely captivating art forms. We are: David Evans, Nancy Hacskaylo, and Kevin Milstead.
