Washington Wax Works is a collective of six encaustic artists working in the Washington, D.C. area. Encaustic is hot wax. The transformative process of encasing, painting, baking, embedding, and collaging elements with this ancient medium is our passion.
Each artist interprets using wax with individualized technical expression, exposing viewers to new and uniquely captivating art forms. We are: Kathleen Anderson, David Evans, Nancy Hacskaylo, Marty Ittner, Katie Dell Kaufman and Kevin Milstead.
